Crossworld Proudly Supports the WISTA Conference as Bronze Sponsor Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia — October 2026 Crossworld Marine Services is proud to be a Bronze Sponsor of the WISTA International AGM & Conference 2026, taking place in Kuala Lumpur from 28 to 30 October. WISTA (Women’s International Shipping & Trading Association) brings together women in senior and leadership roles across shipping, trading and maritime services. For more than 50 years it has worked to make the industry more open, more connected and better prepared for what comes next. We’re glad to stand with them. Why this matters to us Our business is people. Every day we work with seafarers, shore teams and partners around the world, and we’ve learned one simple thing: the best crews and the best companies draw on the widest pool of talent. Women are still underrepresented at sea and in shipping leadership. The last BIMCO/ICS Seafarer Workforce Report put women at about 1.2% of the global seafarer workforce. That’s a lot of talent the industry isn’t reaching. Supporting WISTA is one practical way we help change that. Growing with the maritime community Crossworld has spent 45 years in crew management, manning and ship management. Today we support 397+ vessels and 11,000+ active seafarers. As we grow, our commitment to the community around us grows too. That means backing the associations, conversations and people shaping the industry’s future, including the next generation of women leaders at sea and ashore. See you at WISTA If you’re attending, our team would be happy to meet you. [Name(s) attending] will be at the conference. Come and say hello. Together Always Ahead.

Planting Seeds for a Sustainable Sea: Crossworld Joins the Adopt-A-Ship Closing Ceremony

Planting Seeds for a Sustainable Sea: Crossworld Joins the Adopt-A-Ship Closing Ceremony San Pedro, Laguna, Philippines — September 2026 When the sea gives a seafarer their living, education is what prepares the next one to take the helm. That belief — that our industry’s future is shaped long before anyone steps aboard — is why, on 9 September 2026, the Crossworld family came together at Sto. Niño Elementary School in San Pedro, Laguna, for the Closing Ceremony of the Adopt-A-Ship Program. It was a day about young people, big ideas, and the ocean that connects us all. A day led by champions of maritime education The ceremony was led by IMO Goodwill Maritime Ambassador Mr. George Hoyt, joined by Crossworld Operations Manager CE Vernon Soriano and Program Manager Ms. Lorena Patiño. Their presence sent a clear message to every student in the room: the maritime industry sees you, believes in you, and is investing in your future. Champions of maritime education lead the celebration in San Pedro, Laguna A program that makes the ocean personal For most children, shipping is invisible — the quiet reason shelves stay full and the world keeps moving. The Adopt-A-Ship Program changes that, connecting elementary students with the world of ships and the seafarers who sail them. It turns an abstract industry into something real, human, and worth protecting. And that shift — from distant to personal — is where every future seafarer begins. Connecting young learners with the world of ships and the seafarers who sail them A highlight: the Poster-Making Contest One of the standout moments of the ceremony was the Poster-Making Contest. Students put their creativity to work, translating what they had learned into artwork that captured a single powerful idea: the importance of protecting and preserving our marine environment. The results were a reminder that environmental stewardship is best understood young — and best expressed in a child’s own voice. Young voices, big ideas: students showcase their marine-environment posters Why this matters to Crossworld At Crossworld, we believe a sustainable maritime future begins with education. When young people understand why our oceans matter today, they grow into the professionals — and the communities — who will safeguard them tomorrow. Programs like Adopt-A-Ship are how the industry invests in its own future: not only in ships and systems, but in people. We are proud to stand alongside the educators, ambassadors, and students who share that belief. Together, always ahead The next generation of seafarers, engineers, and maritime leaders is already here — in classrooms like the one in San Pedro, Laguna. By helping them understand the value of our oceans, we help our industry and our communities thrive for years to come. Together Always Ahead. Follow the journey Crossworld is building a stronger, more sustainable maritime community — one crew, one classroom, and one voyage at a time. Follow us to see how we invest in the people behind our fleet, both ashore and at sea.

Crossworld Marine Extends Support to Mindanao Earthquake Victims Through PBSP

Crossworld Marine Extends Support to Mindanao Earthquake Victims Through PBSP Manila, Philippines — July 2026 When the sea gives a seafarer their living, the shore is where their family waits. That connection between our people and their communities is at the heart of how Crossworld Marine Services works — and it is why, on 20 July 2026, we came together to extend a hand to families affected by the recent earthquake in Mindanao. At a ceremonial check turnover held at the Crossworld Office, the company formally handed over a donation to support relief and recovery efforts for those affected by the powerful magnitude-7.8 earthquake that struck the Mindanao region in June 2026, displacing families and disrupting livelihoods across the south of the country. A partnership built for impact The donation was turned over in partnership with the Philippine Business for Social Progress (PBSP), the country’s largest business-led social development foundation, ensuring that the contribution reaches affected communities through an established and trusted channel. PBSP was represented at the turnover by: Ms. Kristine Jimeno-Rivadelo — Director for Operations Ms. Khalelha Añonuevo — Senior Relationship Management Officer Ms. Jeselle Kirit — Relationship Management Officer Representing Crossworld Marine Services Inc. were: Capt. Levy A. Capayas — President Ms. Jill Reyes — Vice President Mr. Ian R. Garcia — Chief Executive Adviser Mr. Mark Cortez — Finance Director Why this matters to a manning company For a crew management and manning company, community is not an abstraction. Many of our seafarers and their families come from the very regions most exposed to natural disasters. Supporting recovery in Mindanao is, in a real sense, supporting the people behind our fleet — and honouring the responsibility that comes with being an employer of thousands of Filipino seafarers. Through this initiative, Crossworld reaffirms its commitment to supporting communities and contributing to recovery efforts during times of need. It reflects a simple belief that guides the way we operate: that looking after people ashore and at sea is not separate from good business — it is good business. Together Always Ahead. After a distinguished career at sea — and years of service to Crossworld, leading our Operations teams from the pandemic to today — Sir Erwin leaves a lasting mark on our company. We thank him for his dedication and for the high standard he set in professionalism, loyalty and care for both the people and the business. We wish him a well-earned and fulfilling retirement — at least from daily operations.

Crossworld Marine – Encoded at Posidonia 2026

The maritime world does not reward noise. It rewards reliability — the kind that holds across 397 vessels, thousands of seafarers, and over 45 years of crewing through every market the industry has thrown up. That is the standard Crossworld has managed to. On the evening of 29 May, during Posidonia week, we welcomed more than 200 shipowners, operators and partners to Island, Varkiza, for an evening we called Encoded — a celebration of the people and the partnerships behind two generations of crew management. An evening among friends For a few hours, much of the industry was in one room: owners and operators we have worked alongside for years, partners we are only beginning to know, and the Crossworld team who look after crews every day. Old colleagues and new faces, good company and warm conversation — and, threaded through all of it, a shared respect for the work and for the seafarers at the heart of it. The evening was lifted by a live performance from Antonia Kaouri. A recognition we are proud of The night also brought a moment we will not forget: Crossworld’s recognition by the Green Award Foundation as an Incentive Provider — a reflection of the standards we set for ourselves, and the partners we choose to keep. Our thanks to the Green Award Foundation for the honour. To everyone who joined us at Island — thank you for being part of it. Across two generations, what matters most has not changed: our people, our partners, and the seafarers we are proud to serve. Together Always Ahead. × ‹ ›

No Shortcuts: Why We Took Recruitment on the Road

Careers on Wheels brought Crossworld directly to seafarer communities across Mindanao this April. The thinking was simple: the best crew aren’t always the easiest to reach. For seafarers in the far corners of the Philippines, the journey to a recruitment opportunity can be longer than it should be. Distance, cost, and time off shore add friction to a process that should reward talent and commitment — not geography. Careers on Wheels was built to remove that friction. In April, the initiative launched in Mindanao with two events: Koronadal City — April 8, hosted at the Koronadal City Hall Open Field with the support of the PESO Koronadal Office and the local government unit Davao City — April 10 at Damosa IT Park, Lanang Both legs drew strong participation from seafarers across Soccsksargen and the wider Davao region. Careers on Wheels — Mindanao leg, April 2026. Crossworld Marine brought recruitment directly to seafarer communities in Koronadal City and Davao City. Closer to the Crew Going to the crew — rather than asking the crew to come to us — reflects a working principle that runs through how Crossworld operates. Recruitment standards don’t get easier when you take shortcuts, and the seafarers who deserve the best opportunities shouldn’t be filtered out by mobility constraints they have no control over. Convenience matters. So does respect for the time and circumstances of the people we’re inviting to build careers with us. Closer to the Standard For our principals, the value of this approach is straightforward. Bringing recruitment to seafarer communities across the Philippines — not just the easily accessible ones — broadens the pool of qualified candidates available for endorsement. It means the right person for the vessel isn’t missed because they happened to live in the wrong city. That is what taking no shortcuts looks like in practice: a recruitment effort that goes the distance, literally, on behalf of both the seafarers we serve and the shipowners who trust us with their crews. What’s Next Mindanao is the first leg. Careers on Wheels will continue across other key seafaring regions of the Philippines in the months ahead. Together Always Ahead.

Engagement at the school level builds that foundation early. Strengthening Crew Management Leadership We are pleased to announce the appointment of Mr. Ivan Gil Tuazon as Operations Manager of CROSSWORLD MARINE SERVICES INC. High Risk Area (HRA) Advisory

Strait of Hormuz

The security situation in the Middle East has deteriorated sharply following large-scale military operations involving the United States, Israel, and Iran from 28 February 2026. For shipowners, operators, and crew management companies, the implications are immediate and significant. This advisory outlines the current status of all active High Risk Areas, the entitlements now in force for seafarers, and Crossworld’s position and compliance across all affected zones. IBF High Risk Area Designation — Strait of Hormuz, Persian Gulf & Gulf of Oman Effective 2 March 2026, the International Transport Workers’ Federation (ITF) and the Joint Negotiating Group (JNG), as social partners of the International Bargaining Forum (IBF), formally designated the Strait of Hormuz and surrounding waters as a High Risk Area (HRA). This designation followed confirmed attacks on commercial vessels, Iranian warnings broadcast on VHF Channel 16 declaring the Strait closed to shipping, and the withdrawal of P&I war risk cover for vessels transiting from 5 March 2026. The IMO has urged maximum caution and advised vessels to avoid the area where possible. Over 200 vessels were anchored in or near the Strait as of early March. While the Strait remains legally open under international law, the operational reality is that it is effectively closed to the vast majority of commercial shipping. The IBF designation is under active review for potential upgrade to a Warlike Operations Area, which would activate additional crew protections. What the HRA Designation Means for Crews For seafarers covered by IBF agreements operating in the Persian Gulf, Strait of Hormuz, and Gulf of Oman, the following entitlements are now active: Bonus equal to basic wage, payable for the actual duration of stay or transit within the HRA Doubled compensation for death and disability Right to refuse sailing, with repatriation at the company’s cost and compensation equal to 2 months’ basic wage Security arrangements equivalent to ISPS Level 3 are strongly recommended For the IBF Extended Risk Zone (Gulf of Oman), the bonus and doubled death & disability compensation are triggered only in the event of an actual attack on the vessel. Enhanced BMP level is required throughout this zone. Shipowners and operators are required to conduct rigorous enhanced risk assessments prior to any transit and must ensure crews are provided clear and timely information on security conditions, with full implementation of all contractual, insurance, and safety protocols. DMW Advisory No. 09 — Series of 2026 On 01 March 2026, the Philippine Department of Migrant Workers (DMW) issued Advisory No. 09 of 2026, addressing the implications of the Middle East escalation for Filipino seafarers. All Licensed Manning Agencies (LMAs), principals, and shipowners are directed to comply with the following, in accordance with existing DMW policies and the Magna Carta of Filipino Seafarers (R.A. 12021): Vessel Routing Passage of vessels carrying Filipino seafarers through the Strait of Hormuz must be avoided unless absolutely necessary and supported by a comprehensive security risk assessment. Shipowners and operators are strongly encouraged to consider alternative routing to mitigate exposure to armed conflict, missile threats, and maritime security incidents. Suspension of Crew Change Operations Crew change operations are suspended at all conflict-affected ports and transit points in the Middle East and nearby regions with heightened security risk, as determined by the Department of Foreign Affairs (DFA). Alternative safe ports and neutral transit hubs must be identified for crew embarkation and disembarkation. Shipboard Safety & Preparedness Implement enhanced ship security measures: heightened watchkeeping, updated security briefings, and strict adherence to Ship Security Plans Confirm the exact location and status of all vessels operating in or near Iranian waters Verify the sufficiency of food, water, medical supplies, and essential provisions on board Activate contingency and emergency response plans, including evacuation or rerouting options where feasible Ensure continuous communication between Principals, Masters, and crew Welfare of Stranded Seafarers LMAs and principals must provide immediate assistance to Filipino seafarers stranded at airports or transit areas, including: flight rebooking, provision of meals, communication access, and basic necessities. Under no circumstances shall seafarers be left unattended or required to shoulder expenses arising from security-related travel disruptions. Seafarers awaiting onward travel are entitled to temporary hotel accommodation and transportation. Salaries & Wages For seafarers repatriated due to the current situation, applicable wages will be paid in accordance with the prevailing Standard Terms and Conditions (STC). For seafarers who have departed the port of hire but were unable to join their vessel due to circumstances not attributable to the principal or the LMA, salary arrangements will be assessed on a case-by-case basis. Mandatory Reporting LMAs are directed to report immediately via the OFW Welfare Monitoring System (OWMS) and to the following DMW offices for any incident, delay, stranding, refusal to sail, or security-related concern involving Filipino seafarers: DMW-OASSOC: owms@dmw.gov.ph | seabased.asec@dmw.gov.ph Sea-based Accreditation Bureau (SBAB): sbhighrisk@dmw.gov.ph Periodic updates on affected seafarers must be submitted until their safety is confirmed or the situation is resolved. HRA Zone Status Summary — March 2026 The table below provides a quick-reference overview of all currently active IBF-designated risk zones and the key crew entitlements applicable in each: Area IBF Status Key Crew Entitlements Persian Gulf / Strait of Hormuz / Gulf of Oman High Risk Area (since 2 Mar 2026) HRA bonus + doubled D&D + right to refuse. P&I cover withdrawn from 5 Mar. Crossworld Reaffirms Its Commitment to Filipino Seafarer Welfare and Safety

Greek Embassy DMW event

For Crossworld Marine Services, the Philippines is not just a key crewing market—it is a strategic, human partnership built over decades. Filipino seafarers form the backbone of global shipping, and their welfare, safety, and professional dignity are deeply embedded in how we operate. That philosophy was reaffirmed on 15 January 2026, when Crossworld participated in a high-level maritime labor meeting in Makati City, organized by the Greek Embassy in the Philippines in coordination with the Department of Migrant Workers. A Long-Term Commitment, Not a One-Off Discussion The meeting brought together government officials and Greek maritime stakeholders to align on a shared priority: the welfare, safety, and protection of Filipino seafarers serving aboard Greek-managed vessels. For Crossworld, this discussion directly reflects our corporate culture and mission. As one of the most established crew management organizations active in the Philippines, we believe that responsible maritime operations begin—and end—with people. Key areas of discussion closely mirror Crossworld’s day-to-day practices: Fair and transparent employment conditions Strong compliance with international maritime labor standards Continuous improvement of safety and wellbeing frameworks Ethical recruitment and long-term career support for seafarers Crossworld’s Role in the Filipino Maritime Workforce With a substantial Filipino seafarer pool under management, Crossworld has long invested in: Seafarer welfare programs, both onboard and ashore Safety-first crewing standards, aligned with global best practices Sustainable employment relationships, not transactional placements Seafarer careers, not simply a job placement Our presence at this high-level meeting was not symbolic. It reflects our belief that industry leaders must actively engage with institutions shaping maritime labor policy, particularly in markets as critical as the Philippines. Leadership Participation That Reflects Company Values Crossworld was represented by Group CEO, Simos Varias and Capt Levy Capayas, President of Crossworld Marine, whose participation underscored the company’s hands-on leadership approach in matters of crew welfare and safety. At Crossworld, leadership involvement in such forums is deliberate. Decisions affecting seafarers’ lives and careers deserve direct accountability at the highest level. Looking Ahead: Shared Responsibility, Shared Future The Philippines remains the world’s leading supplier of maritime professionals. Greece controls the world’s largest merchant fleet. The intersection of these two realities creates both opportunity and responsibility. Crossworld remains committed to: Strengthening cooperation with Philippine institutions Supporting initiatives that protect and empower seafarers Advancing a maritime industry where welfare and performance are not competing priorities—but complementary ones This is not new ground for Crossworld. It is simply who we are. Together Always Ahead.

Building Bridges at Sea: Crossworld Launches Manila Client Visit Season & Children’s Painting Initiative

Bahay_Aruga_Winner

Building Bridges at Sea Every October marks the beginning of one of Crossworld Marine’s most meaningful traditions — the client visit and crew conferences season in Manila, which this year officially began with the NIOVIS Conference. It’s more than meetings and conferences; it’s about reconnecting with the people who make global trade possible. Shipowners and managers travel to the Philippines to meet their crews face-to-face — sharing updates, ideas, and a sense of belonging that no remote session can replicate. At the heart of these gatherings lies Crossworld’s long-standing belief: strong partnerships begin with strong relationships. These sessions create open dialogue between seafarers, fleet managers, and principals — a chance to celebrate milestones, discuss developments, and strengthen the trust built over time working together. “Crew management is not just about logistics or economics — it’s about community,” says Makram Daouk, Chief Operating Officer of Crossworld Group. “When shipowners meet their crew in person, they get to see the commitment and pride that drive the vessels they manage.” Art from the Heart — The Bahay Aruga Painting Contest This October also brought color, creativity, and hope to the Crossworld community. As part of its ongoing charitable mission, the Crossworld Charity Foundation organized a special painting contest at Bahay Aruga — a temporary shelter providing care for children battling different kinds of cancer. The Foundation, which has been supporting Bahay Aruga since 2015, invited the young residents to create artworks inspired by the sea, ships, and the maritime world for Crossworld’s 2025 seasons’ greetings cards. What emerged were genuine masterpieces — bright, imaginative, and filled with the courage of children who fight battles far greater than any storm at sea. The Crossworld Charity Foundation awarded every child for their participation, celebrating their strength, creativity, and effort. Later, the paintings will be auctioned, with all proceeds going back to the Foundation to support its continuous work with Bahay Aruga and other children in need. Together Always Ahead Both initiatives — the NIOVIS-powered launch of the Manila client visit season and the Bahay Aruga painting contest — capture what defines Crossworld: community, consistency, and care. From bridge to boardroom and from home to harbor, Crossworld continues to strengthen the ties that keep the maritime world moving — Together Always Ahead.
