Creworld Crew Conference & Christmas Odyssey Night – Strengthening our Global Community

Every year, Crossworld and Creworld welcome shipowners and managers to Manila during the client-visit season — a crucial moment for connecting closely with their crew, fostering transparent communication, alignment, and mutual understanding as part of their crew conferences.

As always, the gatherings were complemented by the joint Christmas party which for 2025 the theme was “Christmas Odyssey Night,” bringing together four participating companies:

AIMS, Astra, Minoa, and Omicron, along with the manning agency – Crossworld/Creworld.

Crossworld Charity Foundation x Bahay Parola – A Christmas Outreach to Remember

On 29 November 2025, the Crossworld Charity Foundation carried out its Christmas Outreach Activity at Bahay Parola, a center supporting children afflicted with Cancer, and in need.

The ongoing initiative focuses on bringing joy, comfort, and practical support, fulfilling the children’s wishlist items thanks to the generosity of Crossworld employees and donors.

Key Highlights

  • A heartfelt program entertained the children with games, singing, dancing, and gift-giving.

  • Volunteers experienced the joy of seeing the children’s wishes fulfilled — a reminder of the true spirit of Christmas: sharing, caring, and offering hope.

  • Donations included rice, groceries, a stand fans, cleaning materials, kitchen utensils, and other essentials.

Crossworld remains committed to CSR efforts that uplift communities and create long-lasting positive impact.

Our CEO Mr. Simos Varias’ participation at “Present & Future of Artificial Intelligence in Shipping” – A Forum Shaping the Industry’s Next Chapter

Held on 26 November 2025 at the Angelicoussis Group Auditorium, the forum organized by the Chios Marine Club brought over 80 industry participants together to explore how AI is reshaping ship operations, crew training, and maritime decision-making.

Panel Highlights:

  1. Technology & Applications of AI Onboard

    • Moderated by Dr. Nikos Kakalis, with insights from representatives of Prisma Electronics, Chandris Hellas, Sigma Business Network, and DeepSea Technologies.

  2. Challenges & Opportunities for Crew and Crew Training

    • Moderated by Marios Bougioukas, featuring speakers including

    • Simos Varias (CEO, Crossworld Marine Services),

    • Katerina Palla (RINA),

    • Dr. Ioannis Patiniotis (PYLI-NET),

    • Capt. George Papanelopoulos, and

    • Philip Nielsen (Oriani Hellas).

A robust Q&A underscored both the promise of AI and the irreplaceable role of the human factor — a value at the heart of Crossworld’s philosophy.

YES Forum Open Day @ Southern Suburbs – Empowering the Next Generation of Maritime Professionals

Crossworld proudly supports the YES Forum, an initiative that helps young people pursue meaningful careers in the maritime industry.

On 24 November 2025, our offices hosted over 25 graduates and post-graduates from shipping-related fields. The session featured:

  • An open, frank and in-depth discussion with Makram Daouk, COO, on Shipping careers,Crossworld’s operations, culture, and values

  • A dynamic and relatable discussion with Mr. Giannis Makronikolakis, Fleet Supervisor, one of the YES Forum’s first members, covering:

    • Crew sector trends

    • The evolving expectations of the maritime industry

    • Young professionals’ questions on career development and industry challenges

The event concluded with a tour of Crossworld’s offices — offering students a real-world look into a leading crew-management environment.
