Crossworld Holiday Season Incentive Program a Success

Manila, Philippines – Crossworld’s Holiday Season Incentive Pilot Program proved a success with several seafarers signing up to re-join the fleet because of the offered perks.

The company’s ‘Holiday Season Special Benefits’ was launched last October 26 and ended on December 30.

The incentive program was a Crossworld initiative to boost the deployment number of Filipino seafarers during the final months of the year which is when the numbers are usually down due to the Christmas season. This is also Crossworld’s way of helping the Philippines send out more seafarers after the downtrend during the pandemic in 2020.

The Philippines was only able to employ an average of 5,000 seafarers a month at the height of the coronavirus last year which is thousands lower than the original target of deployment. Now, the government with the help of Crewing firms like Crossworld is hoping to send around 40,000 seafarers a month in the first quarter of 2021.

Crossworld for its part will continue to help finding ways to deploy seafarers onboard ships and allow smooth crew changes despite challenging conditions.
