Ten (10) people from Crossworld, 8 cadets and 2 employees, donated blood successfully during the event held at the Philippine General Hospital Blood Donor Center last August 16. The blood donation drive started at 8:30 in the morning and lasted until 5 in the afternoon as dozens of people came in and out of the center throughout the day to join the cause.

Several others from Crossworld were also willing to donate blood for the ‘The Hope Project’ but were unsuccessful due to strict screening for donors.

The Hope Project aims to promote and ensure the normal growth of a child confined in the hospital setting. Its primary mission is to ease the situation of pediatric patients with chronic illnesses by providing psychosocial support and charitable aid. Beneficiaries for the blood drive are the ‘The Hope Project’s partner institutions.

Among those beneficiaries include the children from Bahay Aruga – a halfway house for kids with cancer where Crossworld has been holding outreach programs for several years. A project close to the company’s heart as one of Crossworld Charity Foundation founder is a cancer survivor himself.

Beneficiaries also include Crosswolrd’s employees in case they will be needing blood donations in the future.
