ASTRA holds Christmas Party
Manila, Philippines – Astra Shipmanagement Inc. and Crossworld Marine Services Inc. spread the holiday cheers with a Christmas party for Astra crew and families. The party was held at 5th floor of The Residences Greenbelt in Makati.
Raffle prices were given away as well as games where attendees played ‘Pinoy Henyo’ and ‘what’s in the box’ with the winners taking home great prices.
The crew were divided into two teams, Engine and deck teams, for the ‘Pinoy Henyo’ while the crew members’ wives grouped themselves into three to for the ‘What’s in the box’ game as they had to identify the items inside the box by touching them.
A bluegrass band was also invited to entertain the guests while a surprise number from Argis also delighted the attendees. The team played traditional instruments that created a unique and great sounds.
Even ‘Santa Klaws’ himself, a man who’s really named ‘Santa Klaws; in all his ID’s made an appearance during the event.

Also during the festivities, some Astra Crew members were given awards for their loyalty and service to the company. They are: C/O Marlon D. Porras and CCK Jesus T. Tagarda Jr., meanwhile OLR Sanito W. Dondoyano got the loyalty award and received the ‘Best Family Man’ award after he took care of his sick wife. BSN Ralph Vincent F. Cuade also got a plaque of appreciation for his years in service and ‘Extreme effort in speaking Greek’ as he is known for his jokes and making people happy while onboard.
