Crossworld Charity Foundation
For the second time now, Crossworld visited the Bahay Aruga along San Marcelino St. in Manila.
It was in the afternoon of December 14, 2015 when a Crossworld team led by the Operations Manager and organizer of the Crossworld Charity Foundation, Mr. Ramoncito “Chito” Mendoza, brought and gave out gifts of toys, rice, and cash donation to the sick children there. The gifts were collected at Crossworld office from its personnel with good hearts.
The Bahay Aruga houses children stricken with cancer. They are from families of the poor sector and heavily depend on cancer treatments given out on charity. It is close to the Philippine General Hospital where the said children are given free treatments. Some of the children come from provinces, others simply don’t have a place close to the PGH to stay in and couldn’t afford transport. The Bahay Aruga is run by a philanthropist and contributions from anyone greatly contribute to the daily operation of the facility. Crossworld was introduced to the Bahay Aruga through The Hope Project in December 2014.
The visit started by giving gifts at the Bahay Aruga, followed by a short visit to cancer patients at the PGH. After the PGH visit, the same children at the Bahay Aruga had their Christmas party at the penthouse of the Manila Residences. The occasion was organized by The Hope Project, and Crossworld was given time to give more gifts and be recognized and thanked. The day ended well at around 6pm.
