Crossworld to hold seafarer’s symposium on Oct. 21

Manila, Philippines – Crossworld Marine Services Inc., one of the country’s leading maritime manning agencies, is set to hold a seafarer’s symposium on October 21 at the AIM Conference Center in Makati City.

The event will focus on current maritime problems including drug trafficking, marine pollution and prevalent sea crimes. The speakers for the event are Mr. Louie Lagasca of the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA) and Com. Ivan Roldan of the Philippine Cost Guard.

Crossworld and Varship Shipping’s Capt. Leonidas Varias will also be giving a ship owner’s perspective on the said topics during the symposium. Also gracing the event is Capt. Eleazar Diaz, President and CEO of Crossworld Marine Services Inc.

Over 400 seafarers and maritime stakeholders are expected to participate in the symposium. The program will start at 1 o’clock in the afternoon.
